Huasutile FAQs
Huasutile's products are split into two main material categories, each with different properties and use cases, as follows:
Q1: a. Classic Polypropylene (PP) Tiles
Huasutile's PP tiles (DB series, XM series) are made from high-impact polypropylene. These are the most rigid and durable option. They offer high load-bearing capacity, UV resistance, and excellent ball bounce for basketball and tennis. Available in multiple colors and surface textures (herringbone, solid, grid patterns).
Q1: b. TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) Tiles
Huasutile's TPE tiles (HES, HPS series) combine a rigid polypropylene base with a flexible TPE top layer. This dual-layer construction provides superior shock absorption (up to 40% impact reduction vs standard PP), making them ideal for pickleball, badminton, and multi-purpose family courts. They are quieter underfoot and more comfortable for prolonged play.
Yes, Huasutile interlocking tiles are designed to be installed over most existing flat surfaces with proper preparation. The most common base surfaces include:
Existing concrete or asphalt — The preferred base. Must be clean, flat, and free of major cracks (greater than 3mm) or debris.
Existing concrete or asphalt — The preferred base. Must be clean, flat, and free of major cracks (> 3mm) or debris.
Compacted gravel or soil — Suitable for temporary or seasonal installations. A geotextile weed barrier is recommended beneath the tiles.
Grass or lawn — Possible if the ground is leveled and a base layer (such as compacted sand or a ground grid) is installed first.
Indoor gym floors — Compatible with most indoor sports flooring systems.
No special tools or adhesives are required — tiles snap together via the patented interlocking edge system. A rubber mallet is the only tool needed for installation.
Huasutile's interlocking system is designed for efficient DIY installation. Typical timeframes:
- Full basketball court (roughly 450-500 sq ft / 42-46 sqm): 2–3 days for a first-time installer, 1–2 days for an experienced team
- Pickleball court (roughly 300 sq ft / 28 sqm): 1–2 days
- Multi-purpose game area (200-300 sq ft): 4–6 hours
Each tile covers approximately 12" × 12" (30.5 cm × 30.5 cm) and weighs about 1-2 lbs, making the entire process manageable without heavy equipment. A detailed installation guide and video tutorial are included with every order.
Huasutile stands behind its manufacturing quality:
- Structural warranty: 10 years against manufacturing defects in material and workmanship under normal use conditions
- UV color warranty: 8 years against significant fading under normal outdoor exposure
- Commercial vs residential: Different warranty terms apply depending on usage intensity
Warranty covers replacement of defective tiles and does not cover damage caused by improper installation, abuse, or extreme environmental events. Full warranty terms are available on the product page and included with each shipment.
Minimal maintenance is required. Huasutile's tiles are UV-stabilized and designed to withstand outdoor weather conditions year-round.
Routine cleaning:
- Sweep with a broom or leaf blower to remove debris weekly
- Rinse with a garden hose to remove dust, pollen, and light dirt
Deep cleaning:
- Scrub with a mild detergent solution and a soft-bristle brush or pressure washer (low setting, > 12 inches from surface)
- Rinse thoroughly — the integrated drainage system allows water to flow through the gaps
Seasonal care:
- In fall, remove leaves promptly to prevent staining and moisture retention
- In winter, use a plastic shovel for snow removal — avoid metal tools that can scratch the surface
Stain removal:
- Most stains (mud, grass, food) come off with soap and water
- For tougher stains (oil, paint), use a dedicated plastic-safe cleaner
